Last updated September 24, 2026. Specs from Jackery’s Explorer 1000 Plus and Explorer 1000 v2 US tech-spec tables. Not a Boom lab. Note: Jackery’s 1000 Plus page states the Battery Pack 1000 Plus has been discontinued—confirm expansion pack availability before you buy for expandability.
Both are LiFePO₄ “1000-class” Explorers. 1000 Plus is the expandable 2,000 W / 1,264 Wh box; 1000 v2 is the lighter fixed 1,070 Wh / 1,500 W grab-and-go refresh.
Quick decision
- Pick Explorer 1000 Plus when you want 2,000 W AC, dual 100 W USB-C, up to 800 W solar input, and expansion toward ~5 kWh if you can still source Battery Pack 1000 Plus units.
- Pick Explorer 1000 v2 when carry weight (~23.8 lb) and compact size matter more than expandability—and 1,500 W continuous is enough.

Who should buy / who should skip
Buy 1000 Plus if…
- Arizona RV / short outage duty needs 2,000 W headroom and you may stack packs later.
- Dual 100 W USB-C laptop charging is on the checklist.
Skip 1000 Plus if…
- You need the lightest ~1 kWh LFP—and expansion packs are sold out forever in your channel.
Buy 1000 v2 if…
- You want the smallest/lightest ~1 kWh Jackery LFP and UPS-style switchover language Jackery publishes.
Skip 1000 v2 if…
- Loads regularly sit above 1,500 W continuous—1000 Plus (or a 2000-class Explorer) is the honest match.
Failure modes
- Marketing vs tech sheet: some 1000 v2 headlines say “dual 100 W USB-C”; Jackery’s own tech table lists 100 W + 30 W—trust the table.
- Expansion orphan risk: 1000 Plus without available packs is just a heavier 1.26 kWh station.
- EPS / energy-saving quirks: low-watt loads can trip auto-off behavior on some Jackery modes—read the mode switch before overnight CPAP-style duty (and verify your machine’s watts—see CPAP backup battery).
