This article has been refreshed in June 2023 with the latest inputs.
Jackery has been one of the first makers of solar power stations, and it could pose a serious threat to the Yeti power stations from Goal Zero since its entry into the market. Founded in 2012 by a team of adventurous engineers, Jackery has been a leading brand with its Explorer power stations.
But with the arrival of brands like EcoFlow and Bluetti and their highly competitive products, Jackery couldn’t, unfortunately, keep momentum with its product line as it features only limited models with limited features. Well, its much-touted Explorer collection has only around a half-dozen models.
Recently, Jackery unveiled its biggest-ever power station, the Explorer 3000 Pro, but the model was not largely accepted as it was blamed for having two-year-old specs and features. To be frank, Jackery failed to include the trendy LiFePO4 battery packs in its machines even if they are perfect for campers and outdoor enthusiasts, thanks to their lightweight and compact sizes.
Further, Jackery has the Explorer 2000 Pro and Explorer 1000 Pro, but they also didn’t have the new and much-awaited LiFePO4 battery packs.
So it seems like the right time to have a look at the best alternatives to each of Jackery’s current line of Explorer power stations. Stay tuned for our list of the best Jackery alternatives below.
Update, June 2023: Jackery has refreshed its Explorer lineup with a modular LiFePO4 power station. Called the Explorer 2000 Plus, it is the first expandable power station with an LFP battery pack from Jackery. It is a 2-24 kWh battery pack with a 3000W inverter. Check out the product here. |
OUR PICKS OF JACKERY ALTERNATIVES AT A GLANCE
Update March 2023: Jackery has started selling the biggest-ever model of its Explorer series, the Explorer 3000 Pro. It is a 3024Wh/3000W power station that is meant to be an answer to the big-size power stations from competing brands like EcoFlow and Bluetti, but it still misses out on modular features and an LFP battery pack. This model also has a smaller variant called the Explorer 1500 Pro. It is a 1512Wh/1800W mid-size power station, and it has been on sale for a while in competition with mid-size power stations from rival brands. |
Entry-Level: Jackery Explorer 300 vs Bluetti EB3A
The Explorer 300 is one of Jackery’s entry-level solar power stations. Thanks to a lithium battery pack, it weighs just around 7 lbs, and it has a very handy size, of course.

The Mid-Range: Jackery Explorer 1000 vs EcoFlow Delta 1000
The Explorer 1000 is one of Jackery’s most popular products. With a lot of takers, it has been doing well in the segment for a while. The key attraction of the 1002Wh Li-ion NMC power station is its lower weight and highly portable design.
Compared to many of its rivaling models, it weighs very little at 22 lbs., and it certainly has a highly portable design like all other Explorers. An interesting model you can choose in place of the Explorer 1000 is EcoFlow’s Delta 1000 because the latter is $100 cheaper than the Jackery’s.
- Clean and Unlimited Solar Energy: 100% green energy with smart MPPT controller for optimal charging efficiency. The power station can be fully charged with 2 Jackery SolarSaga 100W solar panels (Should be bought separately) within 6 hrs or only 5.5 hrs via AC wall outlet charging. The Explorer 1500 is actually another best-selling variant of Jackery’s solar power stations. It is a 1534Wh lithium-ion battery pack with a 1800W inverter that can surge at 3600 watts.
The best possible competitor to the Explorer 1500 also comes from EcoFlow. That is the EcoFlow Delta Max 1600, the low-end model of the Delta Max series.
The interesting thing is that both the Explorer 1500 and the Delta Max 1600 are priced almost equally, but the latter has a lot more impressive features than the former.
According to its specs, the Delta Max 1600 is a 1612Wh power station and it sports a highly powerful 2000W power inverter with a surge of 5000 watts. Like the Delta 1000, the Max 1600 also has six AC outlets, while the Jackery variant has only three.
- Equipped with Jackery’s quality built Battery Management System to ensure the battery’s safety level, while optimizing its performance. The One Button design allows an easy use for you to operate, anytime and anywhere – whether for camping, RVing and tents.

The Heavy-Duty: The Explorer 2000 Pro vs Bluetti AC200 Max
Finally, we have the high-end Explorer solar power station. The Explorer 2000 Pro is the brand’s heavy-duty 2160Wh lithium-ion battery pack with a 2200W pure sine wave inverter and 4400W surge capacity.
Thanks to the Li-ion battery pack, the Explorer 2000 Pro weighs just 43 lbs, and it has a size of 15.1 x 10.5 x 12.1 in. That is why it is a cool choice for outdoor enthusiasts to access high-capacity portable power.
Both Bluetti and EcoFlow have multiple models to compete with the Jackery power station, but we would like to put the former’s AC200 Max as an alternative to the Jackery heavy-duty machine.
- Fast Solar Charging in 2.5 Hours: 100% clean and unlimited solar energy with smart MPPT controller for your camping or family emergency storage. The power station can be fully charged with 6 Jackery SolarSaga 200W solar panels (Should be bought separately) in less than 2.5 hrs or only 2 hrs via AC wall outlet charging.
- Easy to Use: The ergonomic shape of the handle grants an ease grip. And use in one touch with simple and speedy setup within 60s to enjoy outstanding charging efficiency. The Explorer 2000 PRO delivers under 53DB ensuring quiet and peaceful charging.

Moreover, you can expand it up to 6,144Wh with two units of the brand’s B230 expandable battery modules or 8192Wh with the B300 battery modules. That is the main thing that makes the Bluetti different from the Jackery. In other words, Jackery misses out on the feature of expandability with its entire Explorer series.
However, the Explorer is the lighter power station, as it weighs just 43 lbs. The Bluetti AC200 Max, even with no extra battery, weighs over 60 lbs, which makes it not very friendly for portable use.
Why Bluetti AC200 Max?
- 2,048Wh LifePO4 Battery Pack.
- Expandable Solar Power Station.
- Powerful 2200W/4800W AC Inverter.
- 900W MPPT Solar and 400W AC Wall Charging.

Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus, Is the Real Jackery Back?
This is the latest upgrade to Jackery’s line of Explorer power stations.
Launched in the middle of 2023, the Explorer 2000 Plus has proven to be the brand’s perfect reply to competitors like EcoFlow and Bluetti. This is because, as you already know, the new Jackery power station is modular and also features an LFP battery pack.
When it comes to the specs, the Explorer 2000 Plus is basically a 2042 Wh power station with a 3000-watt inverter, but you can crank it up to a massive 24 kWh using the brand’s extra battery packs at 240 watts (6000 watts), which makes it a perfect home battery pack as well.
- Leaping Performance: With 2042.8Wh gigantic capacity, Jackery 2000 Plus Power Station is capable of powering heavy load devices up to 3000W such as air conditioners, RVs, satisfying all the power needs of outdoor exploration or home use. It whispers QUIET AT ONLY 30dB in operation, leaving you complete peace of mind.
- Ultra Fast Charging: Charge from the sun or wall outlet as fast as possible. Only 2 hours is taken to get the Explorer 2000 Plus fully charged from 0 to 100% battery level by connecting to 6*SolarSaga 200W solar panels or connecting to wall outlets. No need to worry about power shortage anymore, just enjoy the time off the grid!
- 2kWh – 24 kWh Flexible Expansion: Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus supports up to 5 expandable battery packs with power expanded from 2kWh to 12kWh. 2*Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus Power Stations can be connected in parallel to expand the capacity to 24kWh, voltage to 240V and output to 6000W, fulfilling all your power demands indoors and outdoors.
The new LFP battery is a long-lasting and ultra-safe one. The brand’s delay in introducing the new battery technology in its Explorer power stations has been largely criticized by its fans for a long time, and with the model, Jackery has ended the confusion.
So, it looks like you can continue with your favorite brand and don’t need to look for a Jackery alternative, as you have the new product with all the advanced technologies.
