EcoFlow River 2 Vs. Bluetti EB3A

A small solar power station is a great way to keep your phones, laptops, routers, and other small devices charged and ready to go, no matter where you are or what you’re doing. And when it comes to the best of the best, two leading brands stand out: Bluetti and EcoFlow.

The EB3A from Bluetti and the River 2 from EcoFlow are the smallest power stations on the market, and both offer a very handy and compact design that you can easily take along on your outdoor adventures, road trips, and more. They both boast LiFePO4 batteries: the EB3A with a 268 Wh battery, and the River 2 with a 256 Wh battery. The EB3A also has a 600-watt inverter, while the River 2 has a 300-watt inverter but can provide 600 watts of power with X-Boost mode.

So which one should you buy? Both are great options, but if you’re looking for superior customer support, EcoFlow is the clear choice. As a regular user of the Bluetti EB3A, I can personally attest to its quality and reliability – but I’ve also had the pleasure of experiencing the new River 2 from EcoFlow, and it’s a great product too. So whichever you choose, you’ll be getting a top-notch power station that will provide you with on-the-go power no matter where you are.

EcoFlow River 2 LFP Battery Pack

EcoFlow River 2 Series Models

The River 2 is the entry-level variant of EcoFlow’s collection of solar power stations, and is a more advanced model compared to its predecessor. It boasts an ultra-safe and long-lasting LFP battery pack, fast charging speeds, and a lightweight and compact design. It can be charged five times faster than its predecessor, and fully charges in just an hour – making it an ideal pick for last-minute trips and excursions. Its size of 9.6 x 8.5 x 5.7 inches and weight below 8 lbs make it ultra-portable, and the strong and comfy handle make it easy to carry on trips.

The EB3A LFP battery pack from Bluetti is a great alternative to the River 2. It has a slightly bigger battery pack, and the inverter is a powerful 600-watt unit that can surge at 1200 watts. It has two times better speeds in solar charging, and it also outperforms the River 2 in AC charging at 280 watts in normal mode and 350 watts in turbo mode. It weighs over 10 lbs., and it is also bigger than its EcoFlow replacement. Both batteries feature all the essential charging outlets, with the River 2 having one three-ponged and one two-ponged AC outlet, while the EB3A’s two AC sockets are two-ponged units, but it sports two DC barrel ports. The EB3A also has a built-in flashlight which makes it perfect for use in your camping tents.
