Last updated: October 24, 2026. Specs, prices, and plan terms come from VOSKER’s and Reolink’s own US and Canadian store pages, checked October 24, 2026. This is a spec-sheet comparison, not a hands-on review. We have not run either camera. Any cost or runtime figure marked “arithmetic” is our math on the makers’ numbers.
If the place you need to watch has cell signal but no Wi-Fi and no outlet (a jobsite trailer, a gate at the end of a ranch road, a cabin you visit twice a year), you’re shopping for a 4G LTE camera with a battery and a solar panel. VOSKER and Reolink are two of the names that come up most. They solve the same problem in very different ways. VOSKER sells the camera and the data service as one package. Reolink sells the camera and lets you bring the data plan. This page compares the VOSKER V300 Ultimate with Reolink’s Go line (Go Plus, Go Ultra, and the pan-tilt Go PT Ultra) on what matters at a no-Wi-Fi site: plan cost, SIM and carrier rules, video and live view, power, storage, and Canada availability.

Vosker vs Reolink: what’s the short answer?
It depends on your site and how you want to pay. Neither one is the better camera for everyone.
- VOSKER V300 Ultimate is a closed system: a non-removable VOSKER SIM, a required VOSKER plan (from $10 a month per camera in the US), 1080p video clips, and a separate 15,000 mAh solar power bank. VOSKER handles the carrier side. Live view is paid by the minute through a $20 add-on.
- Reolink Go cameras (Go Plus 2K, Go Ultra 4K, Go PT Ultra 4K pan-tilt) take a standard SIM and a data plan from a carrier Reolink lists as compatible. Reolink says on-camera smart alerts need no extra fees, and footage can go to a microSD card up to 128 GB. You manage the data plan, and live view uses your data allowance.
- Pick VOSKER if you want one bill, no carrier shopping, and a camera built around short motion clips with long battery autonomy.
- Pick Reolink if you want higher video resolution, a choice of carrier, live view that isn’t sold in minute blocks, or a pan-tilt model.

What does a data plan cost with each brand?
VOSKER: you need one VOSKER Security Plan per camera, after a 7-day free trial. VOSKER’s US plans page lists:
- Basic: $10/month or $108/year. 500 alerts, 10 photo/video downloads, 7 days of history.
- Alerted: $15/month or $162/year. 1,000 alerts, 20 downloads, 15 days of history.
- Elite: $20/month or $216/year. Unlimited alerts, 40 downloads, 60 days of history, and shared access.
- On V300-series cameras, downloads are Full HD video only, and clips saved to the account are 10 seconds long.
- Live streaming is a separate $20 add-on for 40 minutes (High quality), shareable across your V300 cameras and valid 365 days. VOSKER says 40 minutes in High quality equals 10 minutes in Max quality. Two minutes of streaming come with the free trial.
Arithmetic, not a quote: one V300 Ultimate at the $349.99 product-page price plus two years of the Basic annual plan ($108 × 2) comes to $565.99 before tax, before any streaming add-ons. On Elite annual it’s $349.99 + $216 × 2 = $781.99.
Reolink: Reolink doesn’t sell a monthly camera plan on these product pages. The Go Plus and Go PT Ultra pages say a SIM card comes in the box with 100 MB of free data, “after that, you can flexibly choose the plan that best suits you.” The Go Ultra page says the camera needs a Nano SIM and a data plan. Your cost is whatever your carrier charges for a data-only line, which we can’t quote for you. Reolink says alerts from on-camera person/vehicle detection don’t need extra fees, and it offers optional Reolink Cloud storage in selected countries.
Reolink publishes data-use guides you can size a plan from: on the Go Ultra page, about 2 GB per hour of live view in Clear mode (4 Mbps default), or about 3.5 hours per GB in Fluent mode. The Go Plus page says about 2 GB per hour in 1440p mode (3 Mbps default) and about 4 hours per GB in Fluent mode. Motion clips use far less than live view, but Reolink doesn’t publish a per-clip figure on these pages.
Which carriers work, and can I use my own SIM?
- VOSKER: no. VOSKER’s support page says its cameras “will only work with the preactivated SIM card that is provided with each camera,” and only send photos to the app while you’re on a VOSKER plan. VOSKER doesn’t name its carrier partners on the pages we checked. It asks you to check its coverage maps and verify reception at the install site.
- Reolink: yes, from its list. Reolink’s US list for the Go Plus and Go Ultra is T-Mobile (prepaid data only), AT&T (prepaid data only), FreedomPop, and Mint. Its battery-life note recommends T-Mobile prepaid data in the US. In Canada it lists Bell, Rogers, Vidéotron, Freedom Mobile, SaskTel, and Fido. Reolink’s Go Ultra FAQ says its 4G cameras need a physical SIM (no eSIM), don’t support 5G or 2G SIM cards, and can’t act as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Either way, check signal where the camera will actually hang, not at the truck. A phone on the same carrier at the mounting spot is a quick first check. A weak signal also drains the battery faster. Reolink says so directly.
Does either camera work without a subscription?
VOSKER: not as a remote camera. VOSKER says a data plan is required (after a 7-day free trial), and the V300 Ultimate’s local microSD is listed as a backup, not a replacement for the plan. Reolink: you still need a cellular data plan to see anything remotely, because that’s how a 4G camera reaches your phone. But there’s no Reolink subscription required for alerts or microSD recording. Our guide to solar security cameras without a subscription explains what “local storage” does and doesn’t cover.
How is each one powered by solar?
VOSKER pairs the V300 Ultimate with a separate solar power bank. The bank has its own 15,000 mAh battery and a 10 W maximum, and it feeds the camera’s removable 14,000 mAh pack over USB-C. VOSKER says the setup “lasts up to 1 year” and its comparison table lists average battery life as “up to one year.” Both mAh figures are capacity at an unstated voltage, so they can’t be converted to watt-hours or compared directly with Reolink’s Wh ratings.
Reolink uses a rechargeable battery in the camera (28.08 Wh on the Go Plus, 28 Wh on the Go Ultra, 21.6 Wh on the Go PT Ultra) plus a small panel. Reolink says about 10 minutes of charging from the 6 W Solar Panel 2 provides enough power for regular daily use on the Go Ultra. Without a panel, Reolink’s FAQs say a charge lasts “about 2 months” on the Go Plus, Go Ultra, and Go PT Ultra, while another Go Plus FAQ says “1 to 6 months.”
Winter, shade, and heavy motion traffic shorten all of these numbers. Mount the panel facing south (in the US and Canada) with no shade at midday, and charge the battery fully before the first install.
Which has better video and live view?
On paper, Reolink records at higher resolution: 2K on the Go Plus and 4K on the Go Ultra and Go PT Ultra, against 1080p on the V300 Ultimate. Reolink also offers live view without per-minute add-ons (it uses your data instead), two-way audio, and on the Go PT Ultra, remote pan and tilt with color night vision. VOSKER’s strengths are a 90 ft-class detection range on its spec sheets versus Reolink’s 33 ft PIR, a built-in GPS tracker listed on the V300 Ultimate page (useful for theft recovery on a jobsite), and AI filtering of false alerts through VOSKER SENSE. Which matters more depends on whether you’re watching a wide open lot or a single gate.
Can I buy VOSKER and Reolink in Canada?
- VOSKER: yes. The V300 Ultimate Canadian store page listed it at C$449.99, in stock, on October 24, 2026. VOSKER’s Canadian transmission-plan page lists C$10/C$15/C$20 monthly and C$108/C$162/C$216 annual plans.
- Reolink: Reolink’s Canadian store lists the Go PT Ultra at C$289.99 (bundle with Solar Panel 2 and SIM), in stock. The Canadian Go Plus and Go Ultra pages loaded, but they didn’t show a price in the store data we could read, so check the cart before you count on them. The compatible Canadian carriers are listed above.
Where makers’ pages disagree (checked October 24, 2026)
- V300 Ultimate price: $349.99 on the US product page and in its product list, but $249.99 on VOSKER’s own comparison table. Check the cart before you buy.
- V300 Ultimate range: the product page says 100 ft motion detection and 100 ft night vision. The comparison table says under 90 ft and under 80 ft.
- V300 Ultimate weather rating and GPS: the product page says “weather-resistant” and lists a built-in GPS tracker. The comparison table gives IP65, and its GPS row is inconsistent (N/A in one cell, a check mark in another).
- Reolink Go Plus port: the gallery labels a Micro USB port, but the spec table says USB Type-C.
- Reolink Go Plus carriers: the overview says the included SIM connects to AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile. The recommended-carrier table lists T-Mobile and AT&T prepaid data only (plus FreedomPop and Mint), and the FAQ says Verizon “may also work.”
- Reolink Go Ultra SIM: the FAQ says the camera doesn’t come with a SIM and Reolink doesn’t sell one, but the store’s default bundle is labeled with a SIM card. Confirm what’s in the box before ordering.
- Reolink Go Plus battery life: one FAQ says “1 to 6 months” per charge, another says “about 2 months.”
Which should you choose for a jobsite, ranch, or cabin?
- Jobsite with theft risk and no one checking daily: VOSKER’s GPS tracker, one-vendor plan, and year-class autonomy are built for this. Budget for the plan every month the site is active.
- Gate, driveway, or barn door where you want to see faces or plates: Reolink’s 2K or 4K resolution and pay-as-you-go live view fit better, as long as a listed carrier has signal there.
- Wide area you want to scan remotely: the Reolink Go PT Ultra’s pan and tilt can cover more ground than a fixed lens. Note its IP64 rating versus IP65 on the fixed Go models.
- Seasonal cabin: either works. VOSKER’s annual billing saves 10%. With Reolink, you pick the carrier plan, so compare your carrier’s data-only prices for the months you need before you decide.
- Site has Wi-Fi after all? A Wi-Fi solar camera is simpler and has no data bill. See our Reolink vs SOLIOM vs Ring solar camera comparison.
FAQ
Is VOSKER better than Reolink?
Neither is better across the board. VOSKER is a camera plus mandatory service with its own SIM. Reolink is a camera that works with your own data plan and records at higher resolution. Choose based on carrier coverage at the site, how much live view you need, and whether you want one bill or carrier choice.
Can I put a Reolink SIM or my own SIM in a VOSKER camera?
No. VOSKER says its cameras only work with the preactivated VOSKER SIM that ships with each camera.
Do Reolink Go cameras need Wi-Fi?
No. The Go Plus, Go Ultra, and Go PT Ultra are cellular only. Reolink says they don’t support Wi-Fi.
How much data does a Reolink Go camera use?
Reolink says about 2 GB per hour of live view at the default high-quality bitrate, and 3.5 to 4 hours per GB in Fluent mode. Motion clips use far less. Start with a plan that lets you check usage in the first month.
Does the VOSKER V300 Ultimate record to an SD card?
It ships with a 32 GB microSD card and lists “Local Backup on microSD” as a feature. Remote viewing, alerts, and downloads still need an active VOSKER plan.
Is there a Vosker 5G or 6G camera?
Not on VOSKER’s current US lineup. Its comparison table lists the V150, VKX, and V300 Ultimate as 4G/LTE.
