Durability, portability, adaptability – The BigBlue SolarPowa 30 is a portable charger ready to keep your most far-flung adventures powered.
This lightweight solar panel folds up to the size of a legal pad at 14.09″ x 8.86″ x 1.69″ weighing in at just 2.4 lbs. The three panels unfold to a width of 26.3″. Which means it is wide enough to soak in the sun’s rays, yet small enough to keep from taking up unreasonable space. With corner eyelets for easy hanging and a built-in kickstand, the SolarPowa 30 is so easy to fan-out, regardless of your terrain.
This direct power device will charge your phone in real-time, or provide juice to a power bank or other gear for later. With this much flexibility, the BigBlue SolarPowa 30 (aka ‘Solar Diva’) is a great addition to overnight trips in the great outdoors.
The panels are highly durable, with a canvas backing and softshell structure, there is little risk of cracking or tearing. The panels are built from a high-efficiency mono-crystalline cell structure, with a high strength fluorine based ETFE layer specifically designed to have a high corrosion resistance. This coating holds up to high temperatures without losing strength.
Portable Solar Charger
The SolarPowa 30 is rated to 30W with VOC of 20.25V and a working capacity of 17.1V and 1.93A. The unit is water resistant, and comes with three power charging ports: USB-A, USB-C, and DC 18.2V/1.6A.

Hands On
This powerful little lightweight solar panel unit was very surprising to unbox. I love the canvas backing, and the monocrystaline silicon face feels so much more durable than some of its rivals. The snaps are in an odd location, right on the fold, however they are sturdy and seem to hold very well. I really appreciate the overall flexibility of the panels, you can lay them on uneven ground, prop them up with the kickstand, or hang them from a vehicle or structure from the built-in eyelets. The unit is light and flexible enough to drape over a tent, and durable enough that you don’t have to hold your breath if it slipped off.

The charging speed is certainly up to the task of keeping your electronic devices powered up. After running a timed experiment charging the same device with the same USB-A cable, I found that the Solar Diva was actually charging about 15% faster than the regular in-wall adapter. The panels transformed mid-morning sun into electricity with superb efficiency.
If you’re looking for an off grid charger for electronic devices or power banks the SolarPowa30 is a great find, and at $89.99 a great price.
But wait! the Solar Diva is currently on sale at BigBlue for $80.99.
