Bluetti AC200 Max Vs Bluetti AC300: What to Buy of the Two Modular Solar Power Stations

Following the great success of its AC200P and EP500 solar power stations, Bluetti has turned up with the next big power stations in its line-up; Bluetti AC200 Max Vs Bluetti AC300.

They are both modular power stations. The brand has envisaged AC200 Max as a scalable upgrade to its successful AC200P or AC200 and it apparently has the same design as its original.

AC200 Max is basically a midrange power station with a 2048Wh LFP battery pack and a 2200-watt pure sine wave inverter.

But you can expand it up to a huge 8192Wh using the brand’s much-touted B230 or B300 battery modules. Well, the battery modules respectively feature 2048Wh and 3072Wh storage capacities.

Meanwhile, Bluetti AC300 is a different product. It is more of an inverter box with a heavy 3000W inverter and no inbuilt battery pack. You can hook it up with up to four units of the brand’s B300 extra battery packs to make it a complete power station of 12,288Wh maximum.

We have more details of the products below. The brand looks to start pre-orders for the machines in August and September 2021.

Bluetti AC200 Max Vs Bluetti AC300

These are two much-awaited products from Bluetti.

Since the release of AC200P, outdoor enthusiasts have been looking for modular products from the brand. Bluetti has indeed done a good job by designing multiple models with a number of amazing features, including two reliable extra batteries.

We would like to have a detailed look at both the models before a comparison of Bluetti AC200 Max Vs Bluetti AC300. It would indeed be a worthy piece of article for someone who is looking to buy a Bluetti AC200 Max or AC300. Stay tuned for our overviews of both the models below.

Bluetti AC200 Max Power Station

Buetti AC200 Max is, in fact, a modular variant of AC200P. It has the same design as its original, but a more powerful 2200W pure sine wave inverter is an attraction. With four AC sockets, it can deliver a surge of 4800 watts to power up your heavy household or outdoor appliances.

You can charge it rather faster, thanks to its AC input of 500W and solar input of 900W (10-145V). With a combination of both, you can charge it at a rate of 1400 watts. You can also charge it from a variety of other sources like a wind turbine, EV stations, and more.

Coming to the charging outlets, it has got versatile options. Along with four AC sockets, it features a NEMA TT30 port, dual 5V/3A USB-A ports, dual 18W USB-A outlets, a 100W Type-C 3.0 Power Delivery port, and a 12/30A Super DC outlet.

The DC outlets included are a 12/10A carport and dual 12/10A regular DC ports. Two 15W wireless charging pads are other cool options. Overall, you get a heavy and modular solar power station with an amazing variety of charging inlets and outlets.

It has a size of 15.2 X 16.5 X 11 inches and the weight goes 28.1 kg. You can hook up to two units of either B300 or B230 additional battery modules to it.

Bluetti AC300 Power Station

Bluett AC300 is only an inverter box. It comes with a heavy 3000W pure sine inverter that can surge at 6000 watts. Further, you have it equipped with a more powerful MPPT controller and AC adapter to charge the add-on battery packs at a rather faster pace.

You can connect it to up to four units of B300 extra batteries. As you see, this is a 3072Wh battery pack that can be stacked under an AC300 to take its total capacity up to over 12kWh power. That is how you get a huge portable and modular solar power station from Bluetti.

When it comes to the charging options, it touts an adjustable AC input. That said, you can charge it from a 120V outlet at a speed of 3000 watts and from a 240V outlet at 6000 watts. Thanks to the built-in adapter, you no longer need to carry the power bricks.

Meanwhile, for solar charging, it features a heavy 2400W (12-150V) port and an advanced MPPT controller under the hood. With a combination of the two, you can charge the machine at a speed of 5400 watts, but you need to hook it up with at least two extra batteries.

As charging outlets, AC300 integrates six AC outlets and a NEMA TT30 along with a wide range of USB and DC sockets. The USB ports include a 100W USB-C port, multiple USB 3A, and 18W ports.

A 12V/30A Super DC port, a 24V/10A car socket, and dual 15W wireless charging pads are other key charging options you have with the device.

It has a size of 13.8 X 20.5 x 12.6 inches and it weighs just 20kg with no battery pack attached.

What to Buy

The differences between AC200 Max and AC300 are quite apparent. They are indeed two completely different products with different power inverters. AC200 Max is only a 2200W power station, while its sibling has got a heavy-duty 3000W inverter under the hood.

But you have got the former with a built-in battery and so you will be getting a complete package at a rather cheaper cost. An AC200 Max comes at a price of $1700.

What you get is still an expandable product with the brand’s additional battery modules.

It is when AC300 becomes a complete power station only when added with extra battery packs.

Even its base variant with a single extra battery is around $1000 pricier than an AC200 Max.

However, as you see, you get a really brilliant machine with a bigger inverter, faster solar and AC charging speeds, more charging outlets, and more.

Final Thoughts

That has been our take on the Bluetti AC200 Max Vs Bluetti AC300. We have tried our best to have a look at all the aspects of the two heavy-duty power stations.

Bluetti is about to launch the first model on August 20, 2021, while AC300 will be hitting the stores in September 2021. They are to come at a price of $1699 and $2899 respectively after early bird discounts. Share your thoughts about the products in the comments.
