They are both modular power stations. The brand has envisaged AC200 Max as a scalable upgrade to its successful AC200P or AC200 and it apparently has the same design as its original.
AC200 Max is basically a midrange power station with a 2048Wh LFP battery pack and a 2200W pure sine wave inverter. But you can expand it up to a huge 8192Wh using the brand’s much-touted B230 or B300 battery modules. The battery packs respectively feature 2048Wh and 3072Wh capacities.

Buetti AC200 Max is, in fact, a modular variant of AC200P. It has the same design as its original, but a more powerful 2200W pure sine wave inverter is an attraction. With four AC sockets, it can deliver a surge of 4800 watts to power up your heavy household or outdoor appliances.
You can charge it rather faster, thanks to its AC input of 500W and solar input of 900W (10-145V). With a combination of both, you can charge it at a rate of 1400 watts. You can also charge it from a variety of other sources like a wind turbine, EV stations, and more.

Bluett AC300 is only an inverter box. It comes with a heavy 3000W pure sine inverter that can surge at 6000 watts. Further, you have it equipped with a more powerful MPPT controller and AC adapter to charge the add-on battery packs at a rather faster pace.
You can connect it to up to four units of B300 extra batteries. As you see, this is a 3072Wh battery pack that can be stacked under an AC300 to take its total capacity up to over 12kWh power. That is how you get a huge portable and modular solar power station from Bluetti.

The differences between AC200 Max and AC300 are quite apparent. They are indeed two completely different products with different power inverters. AC200 Max is only a 2200W power station, while its sibling has got a heavy-duty 3000W inverter under the hood.
But you have got the former with a built-in battery and so you will be getting a complete package at a rather cheaper cost. An AC200 Max comes at a price of $1700.
What you get is still an expandable product with the brand’s additional battery modules.
It is when AC300 becomes a complete power station only when added with extra battery packs.
Even its base variant with a single extra battery is around $1000 pricier than an AC200 Max.
