The BougeRV Foldable Bike Rack accomplishes everything I am looking for in a hitch attached bike rack, and then some. It is a heavy duty, high capacity rack that will get you and the family to the next adventure safely and easily.
With a single key this rack can lock down all four bikes, and itself to the tow hitch. What’s better is that everything is integrated. The bike lock cable is stored in the support bar, and even the hitch pin is activated by turning the red knob at the base. The same key locks both of these mechanisms so that the bikes are secured to the car easily and efficiently. The bikes are secured by solid ratchet straps, and sit on wide rubber pads to protect the cross-bar.
Functional Attributes
The rack makes itself compatible with a tailgate by leaning away from the car with a turn of another knob. The bike rack is efficient when not in use as well – the bike support bar folds down and latches securely. This helps with parking, as well as garage storage.

This is not a lightweight piece of equipment; which in this case is good. This is a heavy duty, rough and tumble rack that is rattle and wobble resistant. At 27.6 lbs the rack anchors itself to the hitch. Fully extended it measures 40.7 x 15 x 35 inches, and is rated to hold a whopping 165 lbs.
The rack comes with the necessary parts and tools for easy assembly with only three bolts and a wrench. It has operated flawlessly, and we are especially impressed by how smooth the folding and strapping mechanisms are. The integrated hitch bolt and lock is a game changer – it allows the rack to be mounted without having to grab onto any gritty components.
